What counts as an AI credit?

AI credits measure use of the writing assistant. They are app credits, separate from OpenAI tokens or account balances. You can keep editing your words when your AI allowance runs out.

Credits reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC. Unused credits do not roll over. Automatic assistance uses credits too; pause it whenever you like. Accepted live requests use credits even if cancelled, skipped, or unsuccessful. Demo mode uses no monthly credits.

Before you start.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes. Create a Free account for up to 3 documents and 50 AI credits each calendar month. Payment details are not required.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Your AI allowance renews at the start of the next month in UTC. You can continue writing and exporting existing drafts. A separate daily request limit also protects the service.

What does a document limit mean?

Your plan caps active documents stored in your account. Trashed drafts are recoverable and excluded from the active document limit. A separate total cloud storage limit, including Trash, is 20 documents on Free, 100 on Basic, and 1,000 on Pro. The server checks both limits before accepting a document.

How do paid subscriptions work?

Basic and Pro are coming soon. When live billing is available, subscriptions will renew monthly through Stripe, and you will be able to manage renewal through your account. No live paid checkout is available in this release.

Can I take my writing with me?

Yes. Export an individual draft as Markdown or download the workspace as JSON. Keep backups before clearing browser storage or changing devices.
