These terms apply to your use of AI Cowrite's writing workspace. Please read them before creating an account or using AI assistance.
Your account
Use accurate account information and keep access to your sign-in account secure. You are responsible for activity through your account. Use the service only if you can lawfully enter into an agreement under the rules that apply to you.
Your writing and AI output
You retain your rights in the writing you provide. You authorize the processing and storage needed to provide the workspace, account synchronization, and requested AI features. You are responsible for having permission to submit the content you use.
AI suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, similar to other output, or inappropriate for your purpose. Review generated text and verify facts and citations yourself. Simulated writing panel perspectives are not professional advice or factual verification. Follow workplace, publication, and academic rules governing AI use.
Plans, quotas and credits
The Free plan includes up to 3 active account documents and 50 monthly AI credits. Planned Basic and Pro tiers are described on the pricing page. AI credits are internal service units, not money or transferable tokens. Autocomplete costs 1 credit, exploration costs 5, and a chat or workshop generation costs 10. Allowances reset at the beginning of each calendar month in UTC and do not roll over.
Document and usage limits are checked by the server. Automatic assistance also uses the allowance. Separate daily and technical limits may apply. Accepted live requests use credits even if cancelled, skipped, or unsuccessful. Demo mode uses no monthly credits. Trashed drafts do not count toward the active document limit, but do count toward a separate total cloud storage limit of 20 documents on Free, 100 on Basic, and 1,000 on Pro. Editing and export remain available when your AI allowance is exhausted.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Basic and Pro are planned monthly subscriptions priced in Canadian dollars. Paid subscriptions are coming soon and are not available to purchase in this release. Planned prices and allowances may change before activation.
For live subscriptions, the checkout identifies the price, billing interval, and applicable taxes before payment. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Use the Stripe billing portal available through your account to manage or cancel renewal. Any refund or dispute request will be assessed under applicable law and the payment terms provided at purchase; this page does not promise automatic refunds.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, to violate another person's rights, to submit malicious code, to misuse accounts, or to bypass document, usage, or security limits. Do not submit payment credentials, account passwords, or secrets in writing prompts. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse, security issues, or service integrity.
Availability and backups
The service is an early launch product and may change or be interrupted. Provider errors, network failures, browser behavior, and account limitations can affect availability. Keep your own exported backups. Local autosave and account synchronization do not replace an independent backup. No specific uptime or uninterrupted AI access is promised.
Privacy
Our privacy notice describes account data, browser storage, document snapshots, AI context, and third-party processing. Read it before submitting personal or confidential writing.
Responsibility and applicable rights
You are responsible for how you use and publish your writing and AI output. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a promise that output will meet a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow to be waived.
Changes and contact
We may update the service and these terms. The date above identifies this version. Material subscription changes will be communicated through the account or checkout where applicable.
For account, billing, technical support, or privacy requests, email support@proficienc.ca. Include the email associated with your account and a short description of the issue. Do not include passwords, payment card details, or API keys.
